PERSONAL DATA CONSENT FOR JOB APPLICANTS 

(Pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of the Republic of Singapore) 

 

This Personal Data Consent (“Consent”) sets out the terms upon which Jesson Global Pte. Ltd. (“Jesson Global”, the “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) may collect, use, disclose and otherwise process your personal data in connection with your application for employment, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of the Republic of Singapore (“PDPA”).  

 

1. Scope of Personal Data  

 

For the purposes of this Consent, “personal data” refers to data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which the Company has or is likely to have access. Such personal data may include, without limitation, information contained in your curriculum vitae, resumé, application forms, supporting documents, correspondence, interview records, assessment results, references, background screening reports, and any other information you provide to us or which is collected in connection with your application.  

 

2. Purposes of Collection and Processing  

 

By submitting your application and/or providing your personal data to the Company, you acknowledge and consent to Jesson Global collecting, using, disclosing and processing your personal data for purposes reasonably related to recruitment and potential employment, including but not limited to:  

  1. Assessing and evaluating your suitability for employment opportunities with Jesson Global’s clients (prospective employers), whether for specific roles or on a general placement basis;  

  1. Presenting, marketing or recommending you as a candidate to clients for existing or prospective job vacancies;  

  1. Conducting executive search, talent mapping, workforce advisory and related recruitment services;  

  1. Facilitating interviews, negotiations, offer management and placement processes;  

  1. Carrying out background checks, reference verification and due diligence as reasonably required by Jesson Global or its clients;  

  1. Maintaining candidate databases for future job-matching opportunities;  

  1. Complying with applicable laws, regulations, industry guidelines or lawful requests from governmental or regulatory authorities; and  

  1. Internal administrative, risk management, audit, compliance and business analytics purposes. 

 

The Company may also obtain personal data relating to you from third parties, including referees, former employers, educational institutions, recruitment agencies or publicly available sources, for the purposes set out above.  

 

3. Disclosure and Cross-Border Transfers  

 

Where your personal data is disclosed or transferred outside Singapore, including to overseas clients, prospective employers or service providers, Jesson Global will take reasonable steps to ensure that such recipients are subject to legally enforceable obligations to provide a standard of protection that is comparable to that required under the PDPA. Such steps may include contractual provisions, binding corporate rules, data transfer agreements or reliance on other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.  

 

For the avoidance of doubt, where your personal data is disclosed to a client or prospective employer for the purpose of evaluating you for employment, such client or prospective employer shall process your personal data in its own capacity and in accordance with its own data protection policies and legal obligations. Jesson Global shall not be responsible for any acts or omissions of such client or prospective employer beyond the point at which the personal data has been lawfully disclosed in accordance with this Consent and applicable law.  

 

4. Retention  

 

Jesson Global shall retain your personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including but not limited to maintaining your profile within Jesson Global’s candidate database for consideration in respect of current and future employment opportunities, executive search mandates and related recruitment services. Personal data may be retained for a longer period where such retention is required or permitted under applicable laws, regulatory requirements, professional standards, or where it is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.  

 

Subject to applicable law, you may request that your personal data be removed from our active candidate database. Upon such request, Jesson Global will cease to retain your personal data for recruitment purposes, save to the extent that continued retention is required or permitted by law or for legitimate business or compliance purposes. 

 

5. Accuracy of Information  

 

You represent and warrant that all personal data and information provided to Jesson Global, including without limitation your curriculum vitae, résumé, employment history, academic and professional qualifications, compensation details and any supporting documentation, are true, accurate, complete and not misleading in any respect. You acknowledge that Jesson Global and its clients will rely on such information for the purposes of evaluating your suitability for employment opportunities.  

 

Accordingly, you undertake to promptly notify Jesson Global in writing of any changes, updates or inaccuracies in your personal data. Jesson Global shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, claim or liability arising from any false, inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information provided by you, including where such information is disclosed to or relied upon by a client or prospective employer in connection with recruitment or placement activities.  

 

6. Access, Correction and Withdrawal of Consent  

 

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal data in the Company’s possession or control. You may also withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data by providing reasonable notice in writing. Please note that any withdrawal of consent may affect the Company’s ability to process your application or, where applicable, to continue considering you for employment.

Acknowledgement and Consent  

By ticking the checkbox and submitting this application, you confirm that you have read and understood the foregoing Personal Data Consent and hereby expressly authorise and consent to Jesson Global collecting, using, disclosing and transferring your personal data to its clients, prospective employers and affiliated entities, whether within or outside Singapore, for the purposes of recruitment, executive search, talent placement and related human resource services, in accordance with the PDPA.
